What We Believe About…

God

We believe in the one true God of the Bible who, though He is one, exists in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God the Father is the sovereign Creator and Redeemer of all things.

God the Son is one with the Father, eternal and divine in nature.  He became a man, Jesus, when He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He died on the cross for sin, was buried, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and will return to earth again one day.

God the Holy Spirit, one with the Father and the Son, works to bring people to salvation and now lives inside believers to empower them to live the Christian life.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, sufficient word of God, comprised of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments.

Salvation

We believe that salvation can only be achieved by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  In order to be saved, a sinner must repent of sin and place trust in Christ alone.  If a person is truly saved, they will continue in the faith and can never lose that salvation.

Eternity

We believe that all true followers of Jesus Christ will spend eternity with Him in Heaven and that all who do not turn to Christ for salvation from their sin will face eternal torment in Hell.

The Church

We believe that the church is a localized congregation of believers in Jesus who have joined together to carry out His commands.  The church is precious to the Lord Jesus and all true believers should be involved in a church.  A church should regularly practice the non-saving acts of baptism and communion.

The Family

We believe a marriage is between one man and one woman for life.  We believe the family is an institution established by God for our blessing and good and it should be honored as such.
